By the way, the book has no Amazon reviews. I hope this blog post inspires someone to order the book and review it.
Bieganski the Blog exists to further explore the themes of the book Bieganski the Brute Polak Stereotype, Its Role in Polish-Jewish Relations and American Popular Culture.
These themes include the false and damaging stereotype of Poles as brutes who are uniquely hateful and responsible for atrocity, and this stereotype's use in distorting WW II history and all accounts of atrocity.
This blog welcomes comments from readers that address those themes. Off-topic and anti-Semitic posts are likely to be deleted.

Regarding your review - you describe laws imposed in the General Gouvernement. Even one German man has been punished with death there. I do not know which laws existed in annexed Sosnowiec.
DeleteHello Mr Pankiewicz,
DeleteI know about one case when a German was killed for helping Jews. It happened in Kraków, and the German in question was mistaken for a Pole. Bad luck.
As a rule Germans were not killed for helping Jews.
The case is described by Musiał https://www.znak.com.pl/ksiazka/kto-dopomoze-zydowi-bogdan-musial-148131 He does not say "mistaken".
