A Rabbi Not Being Helpful During a Difficult Time in America.
If a Catholic priest singled out Jews for criticism during this difficult time in America, that priest would be raked over the coals, and deservedly so.

Bieganski the Blog exists to further explore the themes of the book Bieganski the Brute Polak Stereotype, Its Role in Polish-Jewish Relations and American Popular Culture.
These themes include the false and damaging stereotype of Poles as brutes who are uniquely hateful and responsible for atrocity, and this stereotype's use in distorting WW II history and all accounts of atrocity.
This blog welcomes comments from readers that address those themes. Off-topic and anti-Semitic posts are likely to be deleted.

The same Rabbi: For Jews who can become pregnant, access to abortion services is a religious *requirement*, and has been for thousands of years.
ReplyDeleteThe Rabbi retweets: "One of the anti-abortion movement's most durable and effective tactics was to use the first amendment to protest outside private establishments in order to make the people inside them feel uncomfortable." Are any protests organized to make the people "inside" feel comfortable?
ReplyDeleteIt is very odd that a Rabbi would say this as it is the Hebrew Scriptures, or Old Testament, that tell us that the fetus is a person, known to the Creator, from the moment of conception.
ReplyDeletePsalm 139:16 says, simply and clearly:
"Your eyes even saw me as an embryo;
All its parts were written in your book
Regarding the days when they were formed,
Before any of them existed."
So this is both a Jewish and a Christian teaching. And the first Christians were all Jewish, as are all the writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures.

ReplyDeleteTimothy Snyder will be teaching "The Making of Modern Ukraine" at Yale. His April New Yorker article caused angry Polish comments, regarding the alleged model Polish colonialisation. Did Western colonizers knew Polish economy? I do not think so. There was no ivory, rubber, gold there. Mostly grain. Twitter comments below the news contain pictures of pro-Nazi Ukrainians. But 80 or 90% of Ukrainians fought in the Red Army. Waffen SS pictures would be regarded as biased during a Netherlands discussion.

ReplyDeleteJerzy thank you for these posts. We're having a heat wave here and I have no air conditioning so I'm just barely hanging on. Thank you for keeping up the good fight.
ReplyDeleteJan Grabowski continues his anti-Polish offensive. German Jewish newspaper accepts the transfer of resposibility from Germans to Poles. https://www.juedische-allgemeine.de/juedische-welt/ein-volk-von-judenrettern/ The Polish nation was divided, like any nation. The majority of Poles tried to survive in the inhuman system created by educated German people.

There is "Holocaust law" in Poland and the law is not controversial, it is based on similar Israeli one.

ReplyDeleteWestern knowledge "Marian Marzynski, who escaped the Warsaw ghetto as a child." Marian Marzynski was left by his parents and saved by a Polish Catholic priest and later monks. Anything to ignore Polish help. A child is unable to survive without help even during peace. There is a book describing a Jewish girl travelling around Europe, living with wolves. The book is fiction. The "Boy in stripped pijamas" is also fiction, not recommended as an educational tool.
ReplyDeleteGerman love to Russia is a big problem for the world. Here are some informations about GDR. https://www.spectator.com.au/2022/07/back-to-the-wall/ Some statements are controversial. Communist states were not Russified (like Soviet republics). Russian language was obligatory at school, Soviet films and books were promoted in every state, but the results were limited. The GDR was almost totalitarian, much more than Poland. The GDR was Communist and accepted Russian culture. In Poland even Party members despised Communism, the Germans did love the idology. I have learned at school anti-Russian "Dziady".
ReplyDeleteOne more crazy attack refuted by Polish Embassy in Ireland. https://twitter.com/PLinIreland/status/1552216991603253248/photo/2 Łódź was annexed to Germany and renamed to Litzmannstadt. There was no Blue police there. The writer is ignorant, by why does the Irish Times publish the lies?
ReplyDeleteNow I know more. Oliver Sears writes for The Irish Times. His anti-Polish text from 2020: https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/eu-should-take-this-chance-to-put-pressure-on-poland-over-eroding-democracy-1.4299279

ReplyDeleteThe long series of Irish errors. An Irish journalist and writer has described an exhibition of Holocaust documents organized by Oliver Sears. The firs phrase of the text is "The first-time visitor to Auschwitz in Poland". The text does not contain words German, Germany, even Nazi ! Who was responsible in Auschwitz, Poland?
ReplyDeleteA Polish professor has guided a foreign journalists showing her the former Warsaw ghetto. The professor hates a Monte Cassino memorial. She apparently does not know, that 850 Jews participated in the battle, 23 died there. http://www.miasteczkopoznan.pl/node/19

ReplyDeleteUS PhD student "“Look, you are saying that there were 7,000 righteous Poles. Let’s say it is 10,000 just for the sake of generosity, even 100,000. But what about all the rest? There were 20 million people living in Poland at that time. What does this say about the rest of the people?” I do not answer his way. 150,000 Jewish soldiers fought in September 1939. The Western help was called Phoney War.
