  1. I am no fan of either tabloids, the British leadership, or British politics. However, I think that a warning is in order:

    The stiff-arm salute, at the time, was not necessarily associated with Hitler and Nazism. For this reason, those using it at the time should not be assumed to be pro-Nazi or pro-Hitler.

    Of course, there were not a few people then who admired Hitler. Even some German Jews did.
