Polish American Congress Bestows Polonia Award on Jan Peczkis

Jan Peczkis wrote to inform me that the Polish American Congress has bestowed upon him the Polonia Award in recognition of his 2,200 Amazon reviews.

Let us congratulate Jan Peczkis for his undeniably impressive number of Amazon reviews, and for receiving the award.

  4. 2,200 reviews is an astonishing achievement by any standards. Whether one agrees with Jan's political viewpoint or not, his reviews invariably make for compelling reading.

  5. Congratulations Mr. Peczkis. And thank you for all your hard work.

You might be interested in seeing this new animation, that was crowdfunded in Poland (sorry for posting this here, but I haven't found any other way to contact you). English version will come out next month, as author stated.

  7. Thank you Piotr.

The animation is excellent. It shows Poland's efforts for freedom, during WWII and up to the present (including the November 11 Marches for Independence). It is very graphic, and moving, about Poland's long-forgotten suffering, and the mountains of injustices that Poles have been subject to.

  8. Jan Peczkis,

I "liked" and supported many of your reviews. You have vast knowledge and you have done an enormous amount of work on behalf of Polish history. I tried to contact you unsuccessfully with questions about the original, out of print sources. If you are available to discuss, please kindly contact me via FB or this blog. All the Best, Joanna

    1. Sorry for not responding. I only now (June 2019) found out about your post.

As for out of print sources, I get almost all my books from library by interlibrary loan, and then return them.

I just joined Twitter, and you can find me there at: @JanPeczkis
