In addition to the Breda memorial, the Kosciuszko monument in Warsaw, a replica of the one in Washington D.C., was also defaced by BLM sympathizers.

General Maczek and 164 of his men of the Polish 1st Armored Division were laid to rest at the Polish military cemetery in Breda. Their wartime victories are legendary. After defeating the Germans in the Battle of Falaise Gap in France, the 1st Armored Division advanced eastward and liberated the cities of Ypres, Oostnieuwkerke, Roeselare, Tielt, Ruislede, and Ghent in Belgium. In the Netherlands, the 1st Armored Division fought in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, West Brabant, in the battle for Arnhem, Groningen, and Drenthe. One of Maczek’s greatest liberation victories was the city of Breda, which after a hard fight, did not incur a single civilian loss. His finest hour came at the end of the war when his 1st Armored Division accepted the surrender of the German naval base of Wilhelmshaven, taking captive the entire garrison, together with some 200 vessels of Hitler’s Kriegsmarine. Lt. General Stanisław Maczek died at the age of 102.
Gene Sokolowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04130330292941063090noreply@blogger.com
